Before Thinking Styles Test:
I believe that I am right brain thinker because I influenced more by the emotional and sentiments of the situation, context or person than the facts and figures of the subject or object. Whenever I am into conversation with my partner, family, relatives, friends, colleagues or manager, I get moved by the emotional feelings and closeness of the other party. Therefore, I am predominantly ruled by the right brain. For instance, I vividly recall the business deal with one of my close friends. With his approaching style of closeness and attachment, I felt inclined with offering at minimal rate of charges for the consultancy services. At the end, I just did out of courtesy and friendship, so it shows how I get easily influenced by the right brain.
After Thinking Styles Test:
According to Psychologia (2018) online test, my result shows that I am 88% doer and 7% original thinker followed by orator and inventor 50% each. The ‘Doer’ meant that I tend to think in real terms just like craftsman and others that produces tangible output. However according to Sommer (2018), ‘Test your Brain’ shows that I used my brain showing 59% left brain and 41% right brain. This result is quite astonishing and surprising what I used almost both the brain laterally. Another test on ‘Hemispheric Dominance Inventory Test’, I am right brain more than left brain which I thought and assumed before these three tests. The result shows that I responded 12 questions as right brained and 6 questions as left brained.
These three tests were eye opening for me as it reveals so many things about me that I am not aware of it, for instance I am creative person with realistic thoughts. However, when it says that I am nonverbal, I need to work on it because being an entrepreneur, I need to be verbal to convey my ideas and thoughts to the audience, although there are various means to communicate to the audience. I believe that I need to improve on this skill set of verbal communication by involving more on group discussions and networking events.
